BINAURAL HEADSET
CONNECTOR
As an option,a XLR-6 headset
connector can be fitted allowing the
user to use the headset in a
binaural function.By setting
internally mounted jumpers, each of
the channels can be assigned to
either or both headset-cans. Units
with an Auxiliary Input can also
route the intercom channel to the
left headset-can and the program
signal to the right headset-can.
PROGRAM INPUT (PS 4379, PS
6379, PS 630, PS 19A and
PS 19AM only)
A Program Input is provided
allowing the user to feed
auditorium program onto his own
loudspeaker and/or headset (local
monitoring only,the signal will not
appear on the intercom lines).
MIC MUTE
An ALL MIC MUTE push button is
provided on each PRO SERIES
Master Station or Power Supply (PS
4379 and PS 6379 additionally
have MIC mute push buttons for
each channel separately),allowing
the user to temporarily mute the
microphones of all connected PRO
SERIES user stations.When the
Master Stations or Power supplies
are being switched on,all mics are
muted automatically.
BUZZER MUTE
A BUZZER MUTE push button is
provided on each PRO SERIES
Master Station or Power Supply
allowing the user to mute the
buzzers of all connected PRO
SERIES user stations.The PS 4379
and PS 6379 additionally have
BUZZER mute push buttons for
each channel separately.
SYSTEM LINK
All new Master Stations and Power
supplies (PS 279 / 289 / 4379 /
6379) are equipped with an
additional XLR-3 connector for each
channel to allow a connection to
another ASL System without
impedance problems, and without
using power from the other system.
STAGE ANNOUNCE (PS 4379
and PS 6379 only)
This push button routes the
microphone signal directly to a line
level output.
IFB (PS 4379 and PS 6379 only)
Any channel can be switched to IFB
mode.This is used for monitoring
purposes and one way
communication from i.e. a director
or producer to a talent.If an
Auxiliary signal is assigned to the
IFB channel,it will reduce volume
by 50 % (factory setting) when the
TALK button is pushed.However,
this reduction can be adjusted by
the user.
TALK TO ALL (PS 4379 and
PS 6379 only)
By pushing and holding the TALK to
ALL button the microphone signal is
sent to all channels which are not
in IFB mode.When the IFB-in-talk-
all dip switch is ‘on’, the signal is
also sent to the channels which are
in IFB mode.
CALL TO ALL (PS 4379 and
PS 6379 only)
By pushing and holding the CALL
TO ALL button a call signal is sent
to all channels which are not in IFB
mode.
NEAR STATION FUNCTION
(PS 4379 + PS 6379 only)
To prevent system feedback, two PS
6379 / PS 4379 stations can be
linked as "near stations" when
used in the same room.This will
dim the listening level,should the
‘near’ station talk on the same
channels the ‘linked’ station is
listening to.
EXTENDED STATION
(PS 4379 + PS 6379 only)
Two stations may be linked to form
a station of 8,10 or 12 channels.
When linked, 1 station will be the
master with an active speaker and
gooseneck/electret microphone.The
speakers and microphones of the
other units will be switched off.
DC INPUT (PS 279, PS 289,
PS 4379, PS 6379 only)
A 12 - 28V DC Input is provided
should 110/240V mains power not
be available, or should a battery
powered back-up be required.
